THE POTTING SHED

As a part of our wellbeing offer within the TAKE 2 experience, we have collaborated with Bents garden centre to create a session focusing on the benefits of gardening and office horticulture.

Nurturing plants and flowers is a wonderful medium to support positive health and wellbeing, manage stress and anxiety in all ages. This isn't just for in the home, but also brings many benefits to the workplace.

THE BENEFITS

Spending time outside has a positive effect on our wellbeing, both in the physical and mental sense.  Typically, workplaces are not set up to allow outside access, so by choosing the bring the outdoors, in, we bring the benefits directly to us. A substantial body of academic research has shown that interior landscaping has dramatic effects on the wellbeing of building occupants.  People in offices are more productive, take fewer sick days, make fewer mistakes and are happier when interior landscaping enhances their environment.

IMPROVE AIR QUALITY

Particular benefits of interior plants include: Reducing carbon dioxide levels, Increasing humidity, Reducing levels of certain pollutants, Reducing airborne dust levels, Keeping air temperatures down.

PROVIDE A SENSE
OF PURPOSE

Understanding how to look after your plants and learning to read their needs may sound time consuming but watching something you've nurtured, flourish and grow will bring a great sense of achievement.

BUILD COMMUNICATION

Create friendly competition within the workplace by seeing who's plant grows the fastest. This allows individuals to have some time out from sitting at the desk and creates a fun and revitalised atmosphere.
